Our Pro, Julio Santos, won the qualifying tournament organized by the Dominican
Golf Federation at La Estancia Golf and Resort at La Romana, December 25-27, 2009.

With his win, Julio won the right to represent the Dominican Republic in a PGA Tour event to be played in March 11-14, 2010 in Puerto Rico and becomes the first Dominican to play an official PGA tournament.

Julio finished the course with par 288 for 4 rounds, winning over Juan Carlos Perelló (290), Willy Pumarol Jr. (296) y John Paul Garrido (299). Carlos Arias followed with 302, Ernesto Vitienes, 308 and Ramón Rogelio Genao, 309.

The La Estancia qualifying tournament was played by most top-notch Dominican golfers, among them Juan Campusano, Hiram Silfa, Lino Guerrero, Danny Fernández, Gonzalo Pérez, Radhamés Peña, Tulio Luna, Luis Manuel Betances, Marcel Olivares and Ramón A. Brenes.
