1st ANNUAL  BARCELO PUERTO PLATA GOLF TOURNAMENT  

NOVEMBER 16-18, 2010

RULES

The event will take place over a three-day period and will consist of 3 rounds of golf, GREAT fun and lots of sun. Players from the same category will combine teams. There will be daily winners plus overall prizes.

DAY ONE:  NOVEMBER 16, 2010                                                                                      08:00 – 13:00 hr

PRACTICE ROUND

DAY TWO – NOVEMBER 17, 2010                                                                                    08:00 – 13:00 hrs

Format: Two people Best Net Ball.  

The team score will be decided by combining the low net score for each hole.          Each player plays his or her own ball. All putts to be putted out.
There are Team Prizes, Best Net Team Score and Best Gross team Score.
Full handicap will be used.
For individual scores, please enter the gross score on each hole.
For the team score, please enter the low net score on each hole.
Players from the same category will combine teams.               

 



DAY THREE – NOVEMBER 18, 2010                                                                      08:00 – 13:00 hrs

Format: Individual Stroke Play
 Please enter only the gross score on each hole.
The score for both days (only individual) will
be added for determination of the overall winners.
All puts to be putted out.
There will be 2 categories: male and female.
Players from both categories will combine tee off.
There are individual low gross and low net prizes.
Full Handicap will be used.                                                                

Top handicap: Male: 28  Female: 36         

           

In case a player does not have his or her handicap certificate, the Organizing Committee will apply the handicap considering the score of the first round of competition.  The Organizing Committee will have the right of organizing the groups of players according to their handicap.

Ties will be broken as follows:

Team Competition: Using the low gross and net scores on every three holes, beginning with hole number one.

Individual: using the highest handicap for the best gross
and the lowest handicap for the best net.

 Official rules and other local rules will apply during the competition.

 SPECIAL PRIZES FOR:

Longest Drive, Straightest drive, Closest to the pin, Hole in One,
  Low Gross Championship Team, Low Net Championship, etc.
